Discover Our Eggs →Our Story
Nestled in the hollers of Great Cacapon in Morgan County, Wild Turkey Acres is a small, family-run egg farm where life moves at the pace of the seasons and every chicken knows what it's like to stretch her wings.
Our hens spend their days wandering open green pastures, scratching for insects, dust-bathing under the Appalachian sky, and doing every last thing chickens were born to do. We believe that a happy hen lays a better egg — and we're proud to prove it, dozen by dozen.
From our little corner of Great Cacapon, WV, we're grateful to share the goodness of our land with our neighbors and community.
Why It Matters
Our hens roam freely across acres of Cacapon Valley pasture every single day — not just a token outdoor space, but genuine freedom to explore.
Foraging for insects, grubs, seeds, and grasses is what chickens are built for. Our hens eat a varied natural diet that translates directly into rich, flavorful yolks.
The clean mountain air and sunlight of the Cacapon region mean healthy, active birds. No stale barns, no overcrowding — just sky above and grass below.
We've never caged a hen and never will. Every bird at Wild Turkey Acres has space, social life, and the dignity every animal deserves.
Keeping our flock intentionally small means we actually know our birds. Small batches mean closer care, lower stress, and better eggs.
From nest to your door in 24–48 hours. Eggs so fresh they'll stand tall in the pan and the yolks will practically glow.
What We Offer
Our free-range hens lay a beautiful variety of eggs — each one a testament to a life well-lived on open pasture. Available by the dozen at the farm or through local pickup.
Pale cream shells with golden-orange yolks. Rich flavor from a diverse pasture diet — perfect for everything from scrambles to baking.
Warm russet brown shells laid by our Rhode Island Reds and Plymouth Rocks. A WV farmhouse staple with old-world flavor.
Our Ameraucana hens lay lovely sage and olive-hued eggs. Same golden yolk, same pasture-fresh goodness — just easier to find in the carton.
A splash of color in every carton. These pale blue beauties come from our Easter Egger hens and make any breakfast table feel special.
